Meet JAX

Scott is a total dog guy and has wanted a dog since we moved into our home. So I agreed as long as we could get a puppy..... So finally, last Sunday, we brought home this little guy. He is a 5 week old chocolate lab. We both have a had a lot of fun playing with him these last few days, but he is still a baby and does wake us up most nights. Scott can't wait til he gets bigger and can go running with him, I wish he'd stay small and cute forever!!

Dining Room Makeover

I have pretty much hated our picture molding since the day they put it up. So Scott and I have thought and thought about how we can replace it. Then I saw this so simple yet amazing idea!!! I never would have thought to paint it all white??!! But I LOVE it!! It actually turned out pretty darn cute!! The room is still empty, no table and bare walls, but it looks so much better!! Let me know what ya think!!

Closing time.....

Yes finally, the house is complete and we close in two days!! We are so thrilled to be moved in and out of our lovely apartment! I am so happy with how everything has turned out, the house is beautiful! I just LOVE it!! Final pictures of the final project!!

HOME SWEET HOME

It has been a busy week for the house... it is SO SO close to being finished. Closing is supposed to be in only 2 weeks!!! We'll see if it happens... it better. We're collecting boxes and have started packing (my least favorite part). So lets see, they put in all the faucets, showers, and mirrors, painted the trim, layed cement for the driveway ans sidewalk, and oh yeah best part WOOD FLOORS!!! They turned out perfect; we both love them so much we are seriously thinking about doing the rest of the house!! I hope to post pictures soon of carpet... appliances.. and a finished yard!! That is all thats left!! YAY!

Scott turns the big 28 !!

Scott turned 28 on Saturday, we celebrated by going to Monster Jam at the Reliant Stadium. It was a lot of fun; we'd never been before and it was really LOUD!! But Scott LOVED it!! We also were able to walk through the house and then have a picnic in the park with some friends.

The house is sure coming along. Saturday they finally finished the all stone and brick, looks fabulous!! and they finished up all the tile in the bathrooms and were putting in all the lighting fixtures. So far this week they have finished the stone fireplace, which i think turned out rather nicely!! and they finished all the kitchen countertops and backsplash!! The house is so darn close to being finished I can't even believe it!! It has been so much fun and only a tiny bit stressfull!!

Three More Weeks Baby!!

Yes that is right, closing is planned for three weeks from tomorrow!! We are so excited, we finally started gatehring some boxes and will start packing up soon! In the last few days they started painting and started tile. We pretty much have to drive by everyday now or I think we'll miss something!! They also put up gutters, and cleared out the yard for the driveway.... ALSO they had a pallet of brick and stone so they can finish up the exterior and start the fireplace!!! YAY!!!
