San Antonio!!!!

A couple weeks ago, Scott and I were lucky enough to have a three day weekend together, so we thought we take advantage of it and see what Texas has to offer. We headed south to the home of the Alamo, San Antonio. Our first stop was New Baunfels, we had scheduled a tubing trip down the Guadalupe River. We expected something simular to river rafting and it ended up being a total 'beer fest'. We sat on our tubes and floated down the river!! Apparently it is a great activity for a group of people all sitting around a floating cooler of beer and a floating stereo playing 'Kid Rock'. But we managed to have a good time, got a nice sunburn and we were able to sit, relax, and enjoy each others company. After the ride we headed to San Antonio, we spent the evening exploring the beautiful riverwalk, including the Alamo. Day two was filled with fun and heat at Six Flags Fiesta! It was nice to get our of the house and spend time with Scott. He has been working a lot of long days lately and we haven't had any time off together. He is such a good husband, he does a good job taking care of our little family.

So I Think It's Time For An Update

So I know I haven't posted anything in like 6 months!! And a lot has happened. So we'll start with the beginning.........

Scott and I were sealed for time and all eternity. It seemed like our wait to get to the temple took forever, but that short year is nothing compared to eternity. We are so blessed to be members of the church and to have the opportunity to go through the temple together and we are excited to start our family off with that amazing blessing. We chose the Draper temple and were so lucky to have friends and family there to celebrate our special day.

I graduated from Southern Utah University with my Bachelors in Nursing!! Finally after a long four years of studying and crazy long days at the hospital Scott and I are excited to start a normal life together; its no fun having a wife in nursing school. I was lucky enough to have my parents drive down to Cedar City for the weekend to celebrate with us. I am really going to miss my nursing family, I wouldn't have made it through the last two years without them. I know they will all be successful in whatever they do with their careers.

Thanks for all the memories guys!!

This was the day Scott and I said goodbye to good ol' Cedar City and made our 24 hour journey to Houston, Texas to start our new life. It wasn't an easy decision, but we knew it was the right move to make. Scott got a job working for the Department of Defense as a Federal Auditor. He really is liking his job so far and seems to be pretty good at it. I spent the first month in Texas studying for the NCLEX and then got a job working at a hospital in the Texas Medical Center as a cardiovascular nurse. We really miss our families and friends back in Utah but hope to visit them as much as we can. We want to make it back to Utah one day, but for now we are enjoying the new environment and focusing on our careers. We have had fun exploring the new area, here are some pictures of some of our adventures.
